Dr. Tara J. Palmatier is the founder and publisher of Shrink4Men, the original Shrink4Men blog, the Shrink4Men Forum, coauthor of Say Goodbye to Crazy and co-founder and publisher of CrazyBusters. She earned a MSc in Counseling Psychology and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. Her dissertation, Ceci n’est pas un thèse, is an applied psychoanalysis of Surrealist artist Rene Magritte that explores early childhood loss, grief and creative outcomes.
Dr. Palmatier has worked in direct clinical services since 1994 in both inpatient and outpatient settings including a women’s domestic violence shelter, substance abuse clinics, university counseling and private practice. She specializes in helping men in abusive relationships, men in high-conflict divorce and custody cases, parents suffering parental alienation, male victims of false allegations, men being stalked by exes, families with sons and brothers who are estranged due to abusive wives/girlfriends, adult children of narcissists and borderlines, women who love men with abusive exes and helping couples with abusive exes to work together to create healthy boundaries and eliminate Crazy to the greatest degree possible.
