Choose a dream that you’re interested in. Be patient. One of the most crucial stages of success in any project is to be sure that it’s the right venture for you. It is essential that you’re a believer in your vision and believe it will be successful. Even more critical than the idea you decide to pursue is how much you are convinced of the concept that lies behind it. Once you’ve started your journey, you should not be afraid to make changes when you get there. It’s better to tweak and correct issues in the beginning of your project, rather than later on when you’ve invested more money.
Rami Beracha
Rami Beracha’s advice for students of Herzliya’s Interdisciplinary Center is based on his own personal experience. Rami, a young male and a law student, chose to go to law school. Though he wasn’t sure if this was the right career choice, he pursued his legal studies, earned an MBA in New York and worked as an intern for a law company abroad. He discovered that his passion was more for business rather than law after his stint at the Wall Street law office. He left his job and moved to France to study for an MBA.
Following her graduation in the year 1996, Beracha was a part of the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. This is Israel’s largest venture capital investment firm. Pitango invests in businesses in their earliest stages and is developing core areas for high-tech. Pitango has made over 200 investments and had more than 85 exits. Rami became the managing partner in 2000 and for the next 18 years, he was in charge of numerous deals that resulted in successful exits to Fortune 500 companies like Broadcom, Marvel, Cisco and Apple.

Ramiberacha’s Challenging Past
Rami Beracha
While Rami Beracha seems to be accomplished in everything he has done however, it wasn’t always so effortless. Beracha as with many Israelis was a soldier in the army as a young man. He served as a combat soldier with the Paratrooper’s Brigade during the Lebanon War. Rami was a part of a rescue team that helped wounded soldiers in minefields. It was 1983. Rami fell on a hidden mine and was unable to walk and hand.
He had one of the most difficult times of his life and hospitalization was the final result. He was unable to move, and was overwhelmed with despair and depression. His hopes of establishing his army career seemed unattainable to him. He didn’t even know who he really was. Rami did manage to get over his pain and find the determination to continue living and pursue new dreams. Rami decided to make his life better and more enjoyable than it was prior to the injuries. Rami tried out different extreme sports. He now enjoys kitesurfing, snowboarding, and has even hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. He is constantly striving to improve his skills and feels like his old uninjured self is pushing him on.
